The bed had two large depressions where people sleep and a hump in the middle causing one to roll back in the “hole” when trying to turn. I weigh 119 lbs. My husband weighs 160 lbs. Poor support, even for smaller people. Very uncomfortable. The thermostat had all the numbers rubbed off so impossible to set without a lot of fiddling. There has to be a lot of heating waste as well. The room was very dated and worn, though clean. The staff were helpful and professional. We paid a winter rate of just over $200 per night including all taxes. Blissfully not crowded. Yosemite is just plain beautiful…..
We had an amazing trip and loved the unbeatable convenience of staying at Yosemite Valley Lodge. Our room’s location right across the street from Base Camp Eatery made grabbing food and heading out so easy. Being right in the heart of the valley is truly incredible!
Location, of course, is incredible, right across from Yosemite Falls. Also, right at the number seven shuttle stop. The check-in staff I thought were very friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was not the best, but the room was a very comfortable place to stay. We got a good deal I think. I don’t mind the rooms being dated because the Lodge has been there for a long time and that gives it a really great feeling.
