Trevor was an incredible tour guide who went above and beyond to show us the food history of Athens and Greece beyond your trendy Trip Advisor lists. We’ve done several food tours in other cities that focused on main tourist spots, but this one was very different in the best way possible. Instead, Trevor took us into the more traditional day-to-day life of Athenians: the central market, local snack shops, bakeries, coffee spots, and more. The food we had was incredible, but the stories of the people behind the food and their history were the true highlights of the day. While this tour would be amazing for anyone, my partner and I were lucky enough to do it on a day where we were the only ones who signed up, and we essentially got a private tour of these amazing food spots. Trevor is also a trained culinary chef and knows the ins and outs of Greek cooking — adding another amazing layer to our experience. As a bonus, he even sent us a recipe book that included many of the dishes we learned about that day. Whether you’re a small group or a solo traveler, we really couldn’t recommend this more and were so thankful we got to do it with Trevor as our guide. We would definitely do this tour again if we had the chance!

We had a brilliant and authentic food tour, going to the markets and small spice shops, and delis! Well worth it - even the teenagers enjoyed it! Trevor was a great guide that shared his passion for simple good food!! Do this tour early in your stay so you can experience some of the recommended food on your own too.

Absolutely wonderful tour!! It was just me, but I greatly enjoyed my time learning about the history and culture of Greek cuisine, along with tasting a variety of delicious foods. Trevor was an amazing guide. His background as a chef made the tour extra special as he gave very detailed descriptions about the preparation of select meals. I’m definitely looking forward to cooking some Greek food with my friends and family by trying out some of his recipes and culinary advice. I highly recommend the tour; it’s been a highlight of my stay here in Greece!!
