Embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of Athens, where history and gastronomy intertwine. Your experience begins atop the sacred rock of the Acropolis, connecting the foundations of Greek civilization with the roots of its celebrated diet. As you take in panoramic views from Areopagus Hill, a traditional Greek sweet welcomes you to the city’s vibrant culinary world. Descending into the lively streets of Monastiraki, you will encounter ancient marvels such as the Horologion of Andronikos, while enjoying a delightful picnic featuring Koulouri bread, aged Graviera cheese, and authentic Kalamata olives. Along winding alleys, artisan bakeries invite you to savor both sweet custard and savory feta Bougatsa, offering a taste of Athens’ enduring pastry traditions.

The experience deepens as you immerse yourself in the bustling energy of Varvakeios Municipal Market, where the authentic heartbeat of local life comes alive. Sampling traditional Mezé plates and an aromatic local spirit, you will feel the city’s true culinary rhythm. A visit to a seasonal farmers market offers fresh, vibrant produce and insight into Greek dietary culture. The journey concludes with a final, satisfying bite of legendary Spanakopita, leaving you nourished and enriched, with a profound understanding of the Mediterranean lifestyle and the everyday flavors that define Athens.

Great tour with Catarina (I think that’s how you spell it!). Lovely gentle walk around learning about Athens and food traditions and what locals eat. Very enjoyable couple of hours.

Very good tour. I don't know if this is the same place but I booked a food tour through trip advisor with "Athens walks". Full AF though. All food was great but I especially liked the Turkish coffee. And doing it with strangers wasn't that bad either everyone was friendly and cool. Seriously don't eat all day before this because you will be beyond full with the amount of food you get.

Très bon tour, visite du quartier de la plaka, églises orthodoxes avec beaucoup d explications. Un petit bémol toute fois, une visite un peu au pas de courses, pas trop le temps pour prendre des photos, flâner ou même se rafraîchir.

Excellent food tour! Dorella was wonderful. We had incredible food and learned a lot about the Greek culture. We tried so many amazing foods and left VERY full. And with so many wonderful recommendations for where to go after.
