Extended Range

The SSI Extended Range course serves as the foundation for all future technical diving training. It prepares you to plan dives up to 45 meters deep using air or nitrox as your bottom gas, with up to 25 minutes of decompression time. During the course, you will learn to maximize the use of twin-tank configurations and Extended Range diving equipment, practice responding to potential problems and failures that may occur underwater, and manage a decompression stage using up to 100 percent oxygen. Special emphasis is placed on dive planning, optimizing decompression, and contingency management, ensuring you can handle unexpected situations effectively.

The course involves intensive, scenario-based training where students face a variety of challenges that require quick thinking, problem-solving, and sound decision-making. This hands-on approach builds confidence and competence for technical diving in a controlled and safe environment. Although the course is demanding, it is designed to be highly engaging and rewarding. Additional costs may apply for decompression gases, calculated based on the student’s consumption, with oxygen priced at 0.04 euros per liter.
