Being in the valley was breathtaking. The staff were very pleasant to work with. We stayed in a heated tent that was a little dusty, but I was glad to have. I wish I could've had my dog stay with me at night. So many people travel with their pets and frankly they're no more trouble than kids. I find most people are very responsible in picking up after them. I was there in November and food vendors had closed for the season, but the store was stocked fairly well. The hiking is fantastic.
Camping feel but with all amenities (washrooms, showers, restaurants) - we took a heated cabin and it clean and exceeded out expectations. The staff are nice and welcoming- clearly explain what we need to know. Recommendation to settle in while there is still light outside and then leave time to see the beautiful sunset! The park shuttle makes it easy to visit other trailhead and viewpoints.
It's hard to fault. Actually... the pizza is delicious, if you like salt. So salty one has to over hydrate. Aside from that, our visit from New Zealand in Summer 2024 and fall 2025. Fabulous experience,unbelievable, magical. And if you don't like salty pizza, the roast chicken meal is Devine. 😁
