This comprehensive tour of Harlem, the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn takes you deep into the cultural, historical, and ethnic richness that defines New York City. We begin along the West Side Highway, where you’ll see the Intrepid, the Trump buildings, and sweeping views of the Hudson River. In Harlem, you’ll explore the exteriors of the legendary Cotton Club and Apollo Theater, visit Columbia University, admire the area’s beautiful brownstones, and learn about the historic Mother Hale House. You’ll also see the tomb of General Ulysses S. Grant before stepping inside a Baptist temple to experience a moving and authentic gospel Mass.
Our journey continues into the Bronx, where you’ll climb the iconic Joker steps, view Yankee Stadium from the outside, and discover local culture through murals such as the Big Pun tribute and the “I Love The Bronx” graffiti. Crossing the Bronx Whitestone Bridge into Queens, we explore the upscale Malba neighborhood, Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, Citi Field, the US Open complex, and the towering Unisphere. In Brooklyn, the tour leads you through Williamsburg, home to the Orthodox Hasidic Jewish community, before concluding near the Manhattan Bridge or in Chinatown on Mulberry Street—offering the perfect ending to a true New York cultural immersion.

Kristin

We recently did the Harlem spirituals Wednesday gospel tour with Peggy as our tour guide. She was a delightful, friendly, funny and informative guide who shared so much information about Harlem. The highlight was the gospel concert. I think it is one of the most enjoyable and uplifting tour experiences I have ever had. I highly recommend this tour!

Smashing IT! I always can depend on the Harlem Spiritual Tours in NYC to give me that taste of my favorite parts of NYC. Whether you're a fist time visitor, a resident or returning visitor Harlem Spiritual Tours has something for everyone. It's a great way to the various 5 boroughs with excellent and extremely informed tour guides. My favorites tours that I will always be fond of are the Full Circle Boat Cruise, you'll see parts of Manhattan and the Bronx that you didn't realize existed. And how quickly you can get from the hustle fast walking chaotic of the city to complete calmness. I also really enjoyed the Gospel Church/Spanish Harlem/Sugar Hill Harlem Tours and meeting Franco the Great! Met some great people.

Just okay. A decently informative tour followed by a small but energetic church service. A Pentecostal service: organ, drums and individual “singing”, not what I would have called “Gospel”.

This is a must use agency for exciting and unique tours. We actually experienced a hiccup, fault of Trip Advisor, but solved by Charles at the agency. When I say solved, I mean with kid gloves. Despite not having been given our paid tour information by Trip Advisor, Charles immediately went to work to re-book us, on a busy weekend day, and even personally accompanied our group all the way through our day until we were delivered back to out hotel! Now the Graffiti workshop...this was a top notch, authentic experience with a true, most charming, graffiti writer. We were secluded in a "yard" made to resemble a train yard. Wen, our writer, gave us an entertaining history of graffiti art, told us his own story and gave tips and pointers as our group did our own wall mural in spray cans. We had 7 adults and 4 teens in our group. We each added a piece to the wall and had a flippin' good time. If you've seen and done the usual tourist thing and want something grittier and cool...this is it! Harlem Spiritual Visions is our first stop for our next visit. Thanks Charles...you made it a fantastic choice.

What a wonderful insight into Harlem culminating in an amazing church service that we have never experienced before. Thank you so very much for the uplifting moments.
