Visitors can bring new life to their old t-shirts, skirts, or classic button-up shirts in a creative Sewing Café through a beginner-friendly shirring workshop. The session is designed to help participants transform existing clothing items into unique, personalized pieces with a fresh and stylish appeal.

During the workshop, learners are introduced to shirring, a versatile technique that adds texture, stretch, and design flair to fabric. This method allows every garment to become one-of-a-kind, encouraging participants to experiment with their own clothing items brought from home.

The class is conducted in both English and Dutch, creating a supportive and accessible environment for participants of all skill levels. Guests are guided step by step as they explore how to manipulate fabric and achieve creative results through hands-on practice.

While the standard session focuses on adding shirring to one item, participants may extend their booking to upcycle additional pieces depending on available space in the Sewing Café.
