We had the most wonderful tour today with a fabulous guide, Antonio Madeira. He truly made the day so special and I carnt wait to tell everyone all about Sintra
Unfortunately not worth it at all. We were taken hostage in an old Defender and informed on route to the venue that we would not be able to go into the national park as promised in the buggies. This meant that we had a boring trip nearly 100% on road being incredibly obnoxious in our extremely loud and underpowered buggies through villages. The 'highlight' was being taken to a car park on the coast full of Americans doing their European tour of one country in Europe. A real tourist trap for clowns. We were constantly told how likely it was that we would be abused by the local constabulary because we were on the road on these vehicles and not off road where we and them belonged. It would have been both more fun and cheaper if we had rented a K11 Nissan Micra each and driven them on the roads without the constant threat of being banged up abroad and likely penetrated. 0/10 do not recommend
We were promised to drive off road on mountains when we booked 4 months ago but 6 months ago the mountain area was closed so they knowingly mis sold us. Instead we mostly drove on public roads and frequently went through quiet peaceful villages in our loud ATV. This is not a good experience for us or the locals. No wonder the police are trying to shut this business down
