This is a granite cliff popular among climbers for its variety of routes with different levels of difficulty, all set against a stunning natural backdrop. Even for those who don’t climb, the area offers scenic walking trails and sweeping views, making it a wonderful spot to experience the natural beauty of Sintra.

Good climbing place. Mostly slab, routes 20-40m long. Hiking paths cross many of the sectors and it can get very crowded.

Amazing approach hike to granite sport climbs. A bit wet and mossy in the late winter early spring, but gorgeous views.

A cool hiking trail and rock climbing segment of the path that leads up to Mouros. There is a free bathroom relatively nearby, if you don’t mind some hiking. Don’t forget to pack water and sunblock 😎☀️

Best way to get to Pena Castle, lovely easy hiking through the Villa Sassetti gardens (free entrance), about 40 min, but plenty benches to rest on.
