3 Day / 2 Night Glen Wilton to Buchanan

This three day river trip covers thirty three miles and is one of the most popular adventures offered on the James River. The journey begins below the convergence of the Jackson and Cowpasture rivers at the Glen Wilton Bridge. Guests are shuttled thirty three miles upstream to the Glen Wilton public boat landing and then float back to Buchanan, camping at private riverside campsites along the way. The river features numerous rapids suitable for canoes carrying camping gear, as well as scenic Blue Ridge mountain views. Participants can enjoy fishing, swimming, and relaxing at various points along the river. Pricing includes boat rental, paddles, life jackets, safety orientation, river maps, use of dry bags, five gallon water jugs, access to private camping land, and all required shuttles, ensuring a well prepared and enjoyable experience for all participants.
