Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba is absolutely magnificent. The unique blend of a former mosque and a cathedral is fascinating, and the atmosphere inside is truly unforgettable. It’s definitely worth buying a ticket and seeing it in person. Just make sure to check the opening hours before you go — during our visit they were 8:30–12:00 and 15:00–18:00. It’s a good idea to set aside around 1–2 hours to explore everything properly without rushing.
Magical place overflowing with history and mystique. The contrast between its Muslim original setting and the Catholic amalgamation at the center tells a centuries-long history of faith, culture and art that's just sublime. This is one of the most special places on Earth and by itself warrants visiting the lovely city of Cordoba. We loved every minute of our visit there. An audioguide (2 euro) is 100% recommended as it will definitely help make the most of the trip!
