The portico itself is of course a masterpiece. But the interpretive materials are very poor. There is supposedly an audio guide. You have to download an app with lots of before and after (restoration) images but there’s no audio to be found. The images are very good but totally disorganized. Theres also a paper handout that’s equally disorganized. Given the magnificence of the sculptures, better materials are deserved.

SCAM! They charge you for standing below the portico, scanning a QR code with your phone, to listen to an audio. I was not told to bring headphone! No actual guide. NO PICTURES ALLOWED. It feels so wrong to separate the portico from the actual cathedral. Pilgrims are supposed be welcomed by the portico to walk into this amazing cathedral. Instead, there’s impolite personnel staring at you.

Huge cathedral with a lot of statues and decoratives. Entrance is free, but you can go inside without the backpack only. There are many tourists everywhere...
