This tour combines two of Southern Utah’s most popular activities: exploring scenic slot canyons and horseback riding. The adventure begins at the stables, where guests will climb into the saddle and participate in a brief riding lesson, ensuring even beginners feel comfortable. Experienced guides provide instruction and reserve the best-trained horses for their guests, making the ride safe and enjoyable for everyone. From there, the journey leads to the mouth of a stunning slot canyon, where riders dismount and walk a short distance into the narrow sandstone passage. Towering several hundred feet above, the canyon walls create an awe-inspiring setting, showcasing East Zion’s world-class slot canyons found nowhere else in the world.
After exploring the canyon, guests remount their horses for the ride back to the starting point. Throughout the experience, a local guide with years of riding expertise shares the rich cowboy history of the small town of Orderville, keeping the adventure both educational and entertaining. Designed to create lasting memories, this tour offers a unique blend of scenic beauty, physical activity, and cultural storytelling. It is one of the most popular activities among visitors and provides an unforgettable opportunity to connect with the landscape and history of East Zion.
