Mostly royal collections, but many many important Spanish works of art like Goya and Velasquez. Cool jewellery collection from the crown in the topmost floor. A must visit in Madrid.

It was such a good experience.my first time visiting such a huge gallery, and it was amazing! Every artwork and drawing was just spectacular. Since photos weren’t allowed, I tried to capture some of it in my own sketches instead. There was also a little shop (a bit pricey ✨) but nice to get something to remember. And of course, a cozy café Prado to take a break and continuing to explore with energy.

No photos at all allowed here. Unusual but show respect and refrain. Just enjoy the incredible collection without thinking about your social media cred! Budget 5-6 hours honestly. Not as big as Louvre thankfully, but still large. Titian, Rubens, Van Dyck and of course mucho Goya and Velasquez. Bucket list museum for renaissance and baroque art lovers! The photos I took were before I was made aware of the no photo policy.
