Begin your journey by gliding across the emerald waters of Lake Bled in a traditional pletna boat to reach Slovenia’s only island. Here, a charming church and a legendary wishing bell await, set against one of the most beautiful natural backdrops in the world. After your island visit, enjoy a leisurely stroll around the lake, admire the dramatic views from Bled Castle, or savor a slice of the famous Bled cream cake.
Continue your adventure deep underground as you enter a world of ancient passages, vast caverns, and grand halls adorned with dripstones, shimmering curtains, and towering pillars. Walk through softly illuminated tunnels that reveal millions of years of geological history in a single glance. Miracle of nature! You must see this! 🤩 When you get to the Jama hotel by stairs from parking, below it usually lots of people are standing so you can't see "Tickets" sign. Get in, buy your tickets. ▶️ Tour starts every hour. You have to be at the cave's entrance 15 minutes before one hour mark, so the tour can start on time. There is a restorant like line service, with food and bar. (From 10-15 euros per plate.) Stores with souvenirs, coffee shops etc. All is well organized. Tickets can be purchased online to avoid waiting. If you know your arrival time, all can get super smooth for you. 🚂 You will get an audio guide speaker with language of your choice. It has numbers and when you get to points in the cave, you press the maeked number on a speaker. Then you will sit in a small train for a 10-15 min ride through mainly flat road through cave. Then you will have to walk 1 km to enjoy all the magic and you will be thrilled. Then one more 10-15 minute ride by train and tour is done. It takes 90 minutes for the tour. You can't go without audio guide, group and without train. You can't stay longer. 🐟 You can see dragon fish in the aquarium in the cave but no photos are allowed due to its sensitivity. 🌻Tip: Predjamski grad has 300 stairs to get to it, so be aware if you are not young or fit enough for that road. 😊

One of the most amazing places ive seen. The caves are spectacular, awe inspiring, truly breathtaking. Would definitely recommend you visiting. The olm (animal) that residues inside the caves looks magical itself. The train ride is fun too.

An absolutely magical place, totally worth the visit. The majestic beauty of the cave is overwelming, the visit is really well organized, the enormous amount of people really dilutes in this extraordinary cave, the guides are super knowledgeable and friendly, one gets a great mixture of a fun train ride and a foot walk. The animals are also mesmerizing.

Thomas was an amazing guide. Really fun, friendly and informative. He was time efficient and told us loads of recommendations. His knowledge of Slovenia and its past was incredible.

kaiya(apologies if misspelled) was hands down the greatest tour guide I've ever had and probably employed in this company. I only want to do tours with her, very knowledgeable, a great fun person to be around all day. I learned so much about the area and she had so many suggestions for me for the rest of my trip. I'm not sure what she gets paid, but whatever it is it is not enough as she goes the extra mile and really takes care of you and that deserves a big bonus. The views were amazing, castles were so cool to see.

This place has a mixed feeling for us at the start, it is very busy even in late October. It sort of feels like Disney land as they have to move so many people through the cave system. The trains help space the people out. The feeling of Disney land will quickly pass as the train enters into the actual cave and you become amazed by the beauty and vastness of the system. Get the audio guide, it is very helpful even though you will have a guide with you during the tour. This allows you to move slower and take photos without the rush to stay close to the guide. Lots of good information in the audio guide. Buy tickets before you get there to get the entry time you want. There are lots and lots of tour busses full of people, but the way the entry timing works it spaces the people and tours out to a reasonable pace. Parking is €6 for the visit and you can pay at the main cave ticket center (not recommend) or at a machine at the lot. Both card and cash excepted. Just pay before you exit the parking to validate the ticket. If you have the time, get the cave and castle tickets, both are amazing. We highly recommend this tour, even with the high cost.

we took the 11 hour day trip to the castle, lake bled and the cave. our guide was Benjamin who was the absolute BEST! he knew everyone's name and where they were from. Great trip, Great Guide! we thought we'd have a hard time as we are older. however, it rejuvenated us! the sights were beautiful. the cave is not difficult. there are stops for explanation along the way...giving time to catch your breath. Lake Bled boat ride was gorgeous, calming and fun. we saw a wedding on the island. Predjama castle we opted not to do since we had seen so many castles , and didn't want to tackle any more steps. the others had good things to say about it. we were well taken care of and encourage anyone contemplating the trip , to be assured. many thanks to Benjamin.

Really a world-class natural wonder and a must-see in Slovenia, offering an unforgettable and easily accessible underground adventure. Postojna Cave is one of the most magnificent and visited karst cave systems in Europe. It is truly a stunning natural masterpiece, showcasing immense, colorful stalactites and stalagmites, including the famous five-meter-tall white stalagmite called "The Brilliant." One of the main highlights is the thrilling underground train ride (the world's only double-track cave railway), which rapidly transports visitors 4 km deep into the vast cave system, making it highly accessible. The tour route is easy to navigate, suitable for almost all ages. Even though there are some steep slopes to walk up and down, its surface still enables using kids' trollies. The overall experience (train + walking tour) takes about 90 minutes. Visitors also get to see the unique Proteus (or "Olm"), a rare aquatic salamander endemic to the cave's darkness. Please note: The experience is highly commercialized and often involves very large groups, which can make it hard to hear the guides and sometimes rush the walking tour. Also, the temperature inside is a constant 10 degrees Celsius year-round, so you must dress warmly even in summer.
