Magnus is a magnificent guide and his tour around Longyearbyen should not be missed! Having lived in the town for most of his life, he was able to mix knowledge and facts with sentimental anecdotes about his upbringing with former friends and work colleagues. A personal favourite of mine was when he told us about driving the bus full of miners through a storm, and then finding out that bus is the one that was featured outside of my hotel. Magnus picked me up exactly on time, and there was only myself and one other person on the tour. He took time to ask us about ourselves and learn about our life in our countries. We had many stops on the tour. We covered all 4 polar bear signs, the seed vault, and multiple mines as well as scenic photo stops. We were able to take as much time as we liked at each stop. A great whistle stop tour to see all of the main attractions in the town. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Longyearbyen for the first time. Magnus, it was a pleasure getting to spend a few hours with you and hearing all about your life. You have my upmost respect!
Magnus was wonderful! We had a big hiking tour with magnus driving us around and two guides from the see and explore team. They were wonderful as well. The tour was exceptional. Magnus and the team found us the most perfect ending place to enjoy hot berry tea up on a hill with wonderful view. Definitely recommend!!
