The cave viewing experience was excellent. If you're not doing anything else, it's a great option. 👍🏻 Note: There are no restrooms here. It's best to wear waterproof clothing. The fee includes a helmet and a flashlight.

The tour itself was fascinating and well organised, and the cave was incredible to see. However, I did feel uncomfortable with one aspect. The guide Mac something, funny American lass, made a point of singling out “the British” as the nationality most likely to take lava rocks. It was said in a joking manner, but as the only British guests on the tour, it felt unnecessary and a bit awkward, especially in front of a group mainly made up of Americans. I understand reminding everyone not to take anything, but I think it could have been done without stereotyping one nationality. The experience itself was great, but I’d encourage the company to ensure guides keep instructions neutral and respectful for all.

It was my second time in Raufarholshellir, this time with my 13 year old son, and he loved it. We did the trip to all three lava falls and extra dead end, which is so low you have to crawl to get to the top, not a challenge for a kid, but a bit of workout for me. The guide, Anna was brilliant, she was quick, but had a lot of stops, and every question was answered and explained with great professionalism. I can recommend it for everyone, it's really worth it to pay a bit extra and get to the falls, but remember HAVE A GOOD HIKING BOOTS OR YOU WON'T GO !!!

We absolutely enjoyed every second of our Lava Falls Adventure Tour. We spent nearly 5 hours inside the tunnel, and there was not once a second which was not worth to do this tour. But guys, please don't book this tour when you are not used to hike with some height meters. It's a challenging tour and please also take the fact seriously that you have to wear hiking boots with ankle support. They are definitely necessary and you are not allowed to join the tour without. There is a minimum of 4 people in total for the tour, so please don't book it when you don't wear correspondings shoes. The tour will be cancelled if there are less than 4 people matching the rules. So you really get other people in troubles when you book the tour and are not equipped correspondingly. For us it would have been so disappointing if the tour did not happen at short notice as others didn't take the rules serious. So thanks a lot to our other tour partners and of course to our great guide. It was amazing!

Activity was great. We originally booked the 4 hour extreme version, but the other people in our group backed out last minute, and we were unable to go. The guides did a good job in moving things around and got us in the 1 hour tour instead. Thanks for accommodating us.

Great tour and amazing experience! I can recommend the long tour! Very much interesting. We alsobhad a great guide who made this experience complete

This was one of our favourite activities in Iceland, a great tour, with an informative guide who really went the extra mile to make sure we all enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend this unique experience!

Unique and spectacular, seeing the lava formations in the cave, along with the ice that forms inside in winter. The views vary depending on the weather.

Great tour of the lava tube on the peninsula in Iceland. Our tour guide was great. You walk down narrow round stairs to get to the lava tube. It is very interesting. You are armed with a flashlight as there is no natural or artificial light in the lava tube. The guide has a very strong flashlight which is used for highlighting certain portions of the two. At one point, he turns off the flashlight, as you all others, and you get to experience sensory deprivation for a couple of minutes. You see nothing and just hear the water dropping from the top of the cave. It is a little strange when you open your eyes and see absolutely nothing. I highly suggest the tour. It is only 45 minutes in life and quite worth the time.

A wonderful excursion inside a natural cave created by the eruption of a small local volcano. After being provided with helmets and individual flashlights, a guide will lead you on a truly unforgettable walk into the "center of the earth."
