Geological Golden-Circle Tour / Small group adventure

Be ready for a special Golden Circle tour in a small group of up to six people. Starting in Reykjavik at bus stop eight near Hallgrimskirkja, we head toward some of Iceland most remarkable natural highlights. Our first stop is Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the oldest national park in Europe. Walk between continental plates and learn about the fascinating geology and cultural history of this extraordinary landscape. During our walk we also visit Oxararfoss waterfall, known to many from popular television scenes.

Next we explore the geothermal valley of Haukadalur, home to the famous Strokkur geyser. Feel the heat rising from the earth and witness boiling water erupt high into the air. A lunch stop is planned at the local restaurant, with meal cost not included. We then visit the powerful Gullfoss waterfall, beautiful in every season, before ending at Kerid volcanic crater, formed thousands of years ago and known for its striking colors. In the early evening we return to Reykjavik. The tour operates year round but may be canceled due to severe weather.
