This exciting adventure begins at Praça do Comércio in Baixa-Chiado, where you’ll get an engaging introduction to Portuguese history along with fascinating local secrets. From there, you’ll head to Alfama, one of Lisbon’s oldest and most authentic neighborhoods, filled with narrow streets, Moorish and Jewish influences, and the warmth of everyday Lisbon life. You’ll see locals grilling on the streets, children playing football, and the unmistakable spirit of Fado music echoing through the alleys. Stop by a local tavern to enjoy a sip of Ginjinha, Lisbon’s beloved cherry liqueur, to energize you for the uphill walk.
At the top, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views from Portas do Sol and Santa Luzia viewpoints before heading toward Mouraria, one of Lisbon’s most vibrant cultural hubs. Enjoy a delicious custard tart at Santo António Bakery, voted the best in Lisbon in 2019, and admire the view from Chão do Loureiro. As you wander through Mouraria’s lively streets, discover the birthplace of Fado, local eateries, and artistic corners unknown to most tourists. By the end of the tour, you’ll have experienced Lisbon like a true local, uncovering its charm, flavors, and hidden gems.

amazing experience - the interior design, the beauty and taste of the food, the service and friendliness. It’s a special place. They have tasty vegetarian options and just a cozy vibe. We will come again.

This restaurant was one of the best in Lisbon. It reminded me of home and there was a DJ playing soulful sounds of R&B. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The owner even walked around greeting guests. We made reservations and had no problems getting in. The next time we visit, we will be sure to eat here again.

We stumbled in after having dinner at a restaurant down the street. We ended up having dessert and a few drinks and really enjoyed ourselves. The live music was phenomenal and the drinks were fantastic. The service was some of the friendliest and warmest I've felt anywhere. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a laid back night out.

Amazing experience. Owner greeted us so warmly upon entry, which my family and I really appreciated. Excellent menu with a wide selection of items to suit a range of tastes and preferences. Service was both quick and friendly. And the food was delicious! Finished the night off with family pictures in a small section of the restaurant with chic furniture . Highly recommend Soul Kitchen and Bar to anyone looking for an elevated dining experience, exquisite and diverse menu, and personal attention.

The location of this restaurant isn’t the greatest. For tourists, you are most definitely have to arrive by taxi/Bolt. It’s about 15 minutes from Central. They have two entrances, the bar entrance on the street is more visible. I booked this restaurant with high hopes so we can try something different besides all the traditional seafood dishes Lisbon has to offer. We ordered the shrimp pad Thai and the octopus. Both dishes were just fine, nicely presented but we found them to lack flavour. The bread tray was already placed on the table before we arrive so it was cold and dry. The service itself however was very welcoming and attentive. The waiter even offered my girl hot tea on the house because she was cold, which was a nice gesture. The decor is where this restaurant shines. Very beautifully decorated with wall arts and other pieces all around the establishment, even the restaurant is fully dressed with wall papers. The waiter could tell we didn’t enjoy the food that much and automatically discounted the bill without us asking and I felt the final price did justify our overall experience so hence the 4-stars.
