We had an incredible experience at the Slane Distillery! Our in-depth tour with Barry was truly exceptional — he guided us through the grounds, explained the entire process in detail, and answered every single question with impressive knowledge and enthusiasm. Barry made us feel completely comfortable and welcome from the start, and his passion for what he does really shines through. On a separate day we were part of a group of 30 for a tasting, and Barry handled it flawlessly — keeping everyone engaged, informed, and entertained throughout. As someone from Kentucky who’s been on many bourbon distillery tours, I can honestly say this was one of the best whiskey tours I’ve ever experienced. If you’re anywhere near Slane, this tour is an absolute must, but be sure to check online for tickets or contact someone ahead of time to book!
An absolutely fabulous tour. We managed to visit under the cover of light snow and that created an even more magical atmosphere. It's great to see the investment from big business into creating craft spirits and the tour was delivered with gusto and an entertaining approach to learning whilst being very informative. Can't wait for the 20 Yr old release 🤣
Was at slane distillery for father's day as a gift for my dad and it was such a great experience. Barry was very friendly and gave us lots of information and the history of slane castle and the reason behind the distillery and also the reason for the music at slane castle since 1981 which was very interesting 😀 I would recommend slane distillery as a great experience or as a perfect gift or something to do on your day off with family or friends. Barry the staff member was very good at telling us about all the different whiskeys as he knows his stuff and given us knowledge and I would recommend him.thanks for the great amazing experience🙂
We got a 5 Star Tour of the Distillery and Castle by Co-Founder Alex Conyngham and his fun loving crew. We got to hear some great story’s about past concerts and the bands that graced the stage there. The Distillery is new and high tech, the Castle and grounds are awesome and steeped in Irish history. “Slane is always evolving”
Absolutely loved the tour of Slane Distillery! But the staff is what made it all for us! Claire was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to get us into a local restaurant after our tour! James gave a wonderful and informative tour, patiently answering my husbands questions. The surrounding town and the castle as a back drop add to the ambience! Oh yes, the whiskey is also excellent! Well done!!
