Begin your Outlander adventure departing from Edinburgh, journeying through Scotlands stunning landscapes and iconic filming locations. Your first stop is Midhope Castle, the exterior of Jamie Frasers family home Lallybroch, followed by a visit to the impressive Blackness Castle, known as the ship that never sailed and featured as Fort William in the series. Continue to Doune Castle, famously portrayed as Castle Leoch, where you can immerse yourself in Outlander history through an audio guide narrated by Jamie himself. Pause for lunch in Callander, the charming Gateway to the Highlands, before venturing into the breathtaking Glen Coe, a place of cinematic beauty featured in the shows opening credits. Journey past Fort William, home to Ben Nevis and scenes from Jamies imprisonment, and enjoy a photo stop at Loch Ness, keeping an eye out for the legendary monster. End your day in Inverness, with time to explore its historic streets and enjoy a relaxing evening in the Highlands.

Your second day begins with a visit to Clava Cairns, ancient standing stones that inspired Craigh na Dun, followed by the haunting Culloden Battlefield, where the 1746 Jacobite Rising met its tragic end. Continue to the Highland Folk Museum, nestled within the Cairngorms National Park, to step back in time and experience life in the 18th century, with many scenes from Outlander filmed here. As you travel south, explore Falkland, a picturesque village that doubled as 1940s and 1960s Inverness, complete with its royal retreat Falkland Palace. Your final stop is the preserved 17th century village of Culross, instantly recognizable as Cranesmuir in the first season. Wander its cobbled streets, admire its historic architecture, and soak in the timeless charm before returning to Edinburgh, where your unforgettable two day Outlander journey concludes.
