Nice relaxing walk, Trees abound and sound of water of course. Not tough to do so most folks will find it fine to complete. Nice views as is common in Madeira. Peaceful - haven’t seen it super busy but it really depends on time of day and season and weather. Accessible by bus.

Very nice green lush levada for a walk. You can get close to it via public city bus and then walk up to the stadium. Levada starts a bit up. A lot of green plants and flowers. Nice calm atmosphere, views of ocean golf field and villages. Easy to walk on, give options to go Down to the villages. We went up to camacha and left it there and catch bus back to Funchal.

Did the walk from Camacha to Monte (3h). Walking up the street to Santo António da Serra and turning left into a smaller street with a sign Levada da Serra do Faial, the Levada (hidden in the beginning but marked with another sign) starts like 15 minutes up this street. This is an easy hike, so easy that it’s used by mountain bikers and joggers as well as families for a Sunday walk. The scenery varies between forest and settlements and the trail also runs through what’s left of the forest that burned down in a fire in 2016 - the levada was destroyed and is hardly visible anymore - and the destroyed Choupana Hills Resort. Crossing the Ribeira de João Gomes valley in the end was possible despite a little ambiguous sign showing the trail was still closed for maintenance. Using the Rother guide book is advisable for this walk.
