We were a group of four that did a 10 day tour with Lanka safe tours. We so enjoyed our tour and visiting Srilanka, I highly recommend this tour! The tour itinerary was great and took us through the centre of Sri Lanka and finished at the coast. All the hotels met our expectations except for one, we selected the four star option, every hotel had a pool, most were outside the main city/town with nice views or scenery. The highlights were our elephant safari in Sigiria and Yala national park safari which were the more expensive activities seperate to the tour cost but very worth it. Beware to book your own train tickets too, we didn’t read the itinerary properly and nearly missed out if it hadn’t been for our guide Prassana figuring it out for us last minute. The van was very comfortable to travel in. The stand out of the tour was definitely our guide and driver Prassana. He was so friendly and accomodating for our whole trip, he gave great suggestions and was flexible with our needs. He gave us lots of good information about the sites we were visiting and about Sri Lankan culture. He has excellent customer service and really made our tour what it was, if you can request him as your guide I definitely would recommend!!

We just got back from an amazing family holiday in Sri Lanka, and I have to say choosing Lanka Safe Tours was one of the best decisions we made. Travelling with kids (14 and 6) can sometimes be stressful, but our driver and guide Prasanna made the whole journey so safe, smooth, and enjoyable. The car was always spotless and comfortable, stocked with water, and Prasanna’s driving gave us so much confidence on those winding hill roads. He also kept us on track with gentle reminders for tickets and timings — whether it was for whale watching in Mirissa, the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy, or tea plantations in Nuwara Eliya. What really stood out was his local knowledge and care. He not only explained the history and culture at each stop, but also suggested the best food places that were both hygienic and kid-friendly. From quick local snacks to proper sit-down meals, we always felt safe with his recommendations. Above all, Prasanna’s kindness and attention to detail made the trip stress-free for us as parents and fun for the kids. We’ve just completed the tour part of our Sri Lanka holiday adventure, and to say we’re blown away is an understatement. After finding Lanka Safe Tours online, what stood out immediately was their flexibility — they tailored the tour to our needs, even arranging accommodation before and after the tour itself. We chose 8 days of touring followed by time to relax in a hotel and villa before heading home, and it was the perfect balance. The flexibility with the deposit and paying on arrival also gave us great peace of mind, especially as a group of six. From the moment Pansilu met us the day before the tour, we knew we were in safe hands. Friendly, chatty, warm, and genuinely caring, he looked after our every need from start to finish. Throughout the trip, he made sure we saw the best views, ate incredible food, and experienced Sri Lanka at its very best. His knowledge of the country’s history, culture, temples, and monuments was exceptional, and his love for Sri Lanka shone through in every conversation. The tour itself was magical — 2–3 stops a day, lots of travelling, but absolutely worth it. Sri Lanka is breathtakingly beautiful, and the people were so warm and welcoming. We even shopped a little too much, needing extra bags for all the wonderful locally made pieces we picked up along the way! Both safaris were fantastic, but if you have to choose, make it Yala. An early 5am start was rewarded with elephants, leopards, crocodiles, and so much more — an unforgettable experience. The hotels were another highlight. While all offered comfort, great food, and stunning views, Ekho Safari stood out for its luxury. Above all, though, it was Pansilu who made this journey unforgettable. He is a true asset to Lanka Safe Tours — professional, knowledgeable, and an absolute joy to travel with. If you can, request him specifically. We’ll definitely be back to Sri Lanka, and there’s no doubt we’ll book again with Lanka Safe Tours and with Pansilu by our side.
