Embark on an unforgettable VIP tour to one of the most iconic natural landmarks in Italy—Mount Vesuvius, the only active volcano on the European mainland, rising majestically to approximately 1,281 meters. This exclusive experience, limited to a small group of just 12 participants, offers a more intimate and comfortable journey. Begin the day with a delicious lunch featuring local flavors, providing a perfect introduction to the rich agricultural landscape that surrounds the volcano. The Vesuvius National Park is a striking combination of rugged volcanic terrain and fertile land dotted with ancient vineyards and small farms, all nurtured by the area's unique volcanic soil. After lunch, you’ll be driven up to an elevation of 1,000 meters, where the adventure continues on foot. A 20-minute hike takes you to the edge of the crater, where you can peer into the heart of this still-active volcano and take in the spectacular panoramic view of the Gulf of Naples. The climb is well worth the effort, offering both awe-inspiring natural beauty and a sense of standing on the edge of history. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the stunning scenery, a jacket (even in summer) due to cooler temperatures at the summit, and comfortable shoes for the uphill walk. After exploring the crater and soaking in the atmosphere, you’ll return to Naples and be dropped off directly at your hotel, completing a truly memorable experience.

Askos was very responsive to communications, and even a last minute change. The private 3 hour guided tour was such a great choice for us. Our guide, Theresa, was wonderful. She knew where all the lesser known points of interest were, explained how to read the ruins (ex. How to tell what type of store or house), and told us a lot of really interesting information. Honestly, 3 hours hardly seemed enough! I would definitely book again; this was well worth the price.

We booked a tour on Sunday, October 26 for Pompeii and Herculenium. It was definitely a highlight of our trip. Our tour guide, Amadeus was so knowledgeable and excited showing us the ruins. He had a degree in Archeology and knew so many details and interesting facts- it was mesmerizing! Loved all the people on our tour as well- lots of fun conversations. Think I liked Herculenium even better than Pompeii!

We took the trip to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius on October 10th, 2025, and it was an amazing experience. Our first stop was Pompeii, where our tour guide led us through the streets of the ancient city. The guided tour lasted about an hour and a half, after which we had another hour and a half to explore Pompeii on our own. Then, the minibus took us near Mount Vesuvius. There, our second tour guide, Mario, showed us the path to the top of the volcano. The view was absolutely breathtaking! Mario was a true professional and very patient as we waited for my mother, who had recently undergone knee surgery. Thanks to his help, we managed to reach the top slowly but surely. He truly made it one of the greatest experiences we’ve ever had.

We booked the 3 hour Askos Tour of Pompeii. Our local guide Alexia was outstanding. She was so informative, knowledgeable, funny and genuine. She gave us amazing insight into the lives, city and the archaeological process of Pompeii. There is so much to see, three hours does not touch it. You can discover on our own after the tour. This tour is a must when visiting Pompeii. Outstanding!

Our guide Mario was exceptional. Very knowledgeable and we loved learning about the history of the volcano, Naples, Pompeii and surrounding areas from him. Our geologist guide on top of the volcano was amazing also. Both guides made this trip so worthwhile. Can highly recommend. Most certainly worth the climb to the rim and the views are spectacular. My best day in Italy. ❤️
