Had a very nice boat ride. Compared a couple ones and this one was the cheapest and also the most worth it for the price we think (€20 pp), it’s all the same boat rides to the same place and you get 3h there. This one felt very trustworthy. Had a good time!
We did a tour to the Shala River and were very happy with the provider! The two employees who drove the shuttle and the boat were very friendly. The food at the restaurant on the Shala River, which was included in the price of the tour, was also good. They made a vegetarian option for me without any problems, my friend had fish and we were both satisfied. A general tip: never drive your own car to Shala River, the roads there are unpaved and really very bad (even by Albanian standards), especially not recommended with a rental car. The parking situation on site is full of scammers who charge you too much money, and on top: if you come with your own car you have to walk quiet long through the narrow tunnel under the mountain, where there is no pedestrian path or anything like that. So highly recommended to have one of the tour operators take you there via shuttle!
We booked the Komani Lake/Shala River tour. Instructions were very clear about pick-up time/place etc. The tour was well organized and we also loved the car ride with a local driver. 😉 We would recommend visiting the lake with an agency, you don’t have to arrange anything (even lunch is provided). (Sadly enough quite a lot of trash on the lake ☹️)
