We had one of the most amazing experiences discovering how this masterpiece of a cheese — Parmigiano Reggiano — is made, thanks to the owner himself, Alfonso. The tour he created allows guests to explore the entire production process through all five senses — sight, smell, touch, sound, and taste. I’ll let you experience for yourself how beautifully he brings each of them into the visit. The dairy is quite small, which is exactly why they can control every detail of the production to perfection. Alfonso shared valuable insights about the region, the history of Parmigiano Reggiano, and each step of the process. In the end, we simply couldn’t stop ourselves from eating all the aged Parmigiano they offered. Highly recommended. Thank you, Alfonso, for everything! Abbracio

We toured the place with a guide who drove us there. Got to see the cows, and part of the cheese making process. You do get to try the parmigiano along with some bubbles. Afterwards you can buy some cheese!

This is the best cheese tour I've ever has the pleasure of taking! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions, and was quick to explain details if asked. Tasting the finished product was amazing! I have never had better parmigiano reggiano in my life, and it's my favorite cheese so I've had a lot of it. I enjoyed getting to see the cows too. All in all, this is the best cheese tour you will ever find.

We've toured many cheese facilities on our travels, but this is BY FAR the best we've experienced!!! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, with an insight and intelligence rarely found! They answered any questions we had and gave information about the entire process in detail. And the parm, wow, just spectacular! I love that they are a smaller farm and they have their own cows. If you are looking around at all the parm tours thinking which one should you do, look no farther. This is the BEST cheese tour anywhere in the world!!!!

Wow, what a fantastic morning spent at borgo del gazzano. Three hours with head cheese maker Jora who took us through the whole fascinating process from their 180 cattle, through the creation of today's five wheels of cheese, the brining and then on to the aging room. Plus of course some tasting. To see a 100kg ball of cheese emerge from that 6ft deep copper vessel full of 1100 litres of milk was just breathtaking. I cannot recommend this highly enough if you ever get a chance to visit it was absolutely wonderful. Oh and you get to keep the hairnet😁 We booked direct via the website for the full five senses tour.
