Set off on a private Atlantic Ocean boat cruise along the stunning Connemara coast, in search of the region’s incredible marine wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for whales, dolphins, porpoises, and colonies of seals with lucky sightings of sea otters, basking sharks, or even a five hundred lb sunfish. This experience offers an unforgettable glimpse of life on the wild western seas.
En route, try your hand at sea fishing before arriving at the beautiful and rugged Inishturk Island. This remote gem rises dramatically from the Atlantic with steep hills and towering cliffs. Explore the ruins of an old signal tower perched seven hundred twenty two feet above sea level, offering spectacular views of the ocean and coastline.

Awesome trip with Damien….he is an excellent, enthusiastic tour guide (with the help of his adorable dog Max). We learned the history of the villages and islands while enjoying beautiful scenery from his comfortable boat. But clearly the highlight is going ashore on a small island to visit and feed the sheep and donkeys. A must-do in Connemara!!!

I booked the boat tour and island picnic experience as a birthday gift for my fiancé, and what a find it turned out to be! Damien, who operates the tour, couldn’t have been more accommodating. From the seamless online booking to his prompt and friendly communication on Instagram. No question or request was ever an issue, and his easy going nature really set the tone for the day. We were even able to add a sauna session for the morning, which has incredible views of Roundstone Bay, which made for a brilliant start and we had it to ourselves. The boat trip aboard Benbaun was fantastic. Damien shared fascinating local knowledge, helped us try our hand at crab fishing, and his first mate, Max the dog, was an added bonus. The picnic on Inishlacken was a highlight: fresh food, a chilled bottle of prosecco, and the surreal feeling of having an entire island to ourselves. Exploring the stone ruins, walking the beach (which looked like something from the Mediterranean), and even meeting Damien’s friendly donkeys made it truly unforgettable. We were lucky with a glorious blue sky day, however, this hidden gem in the west of Ireland is an experience worth doing in almost any weather. Highly recommended.

If you are ever visiting Roundstone or Connemara I highly reccomended taking the Roundstone Bay & Island tour! Granny,Mammy and the 3 boys (6,4 & 2) had a fantastic time! We took the Eco tour and Damien the guide was very knowledgeable about the local history and was great with the boys! Between pulling up a lobster pot, visits to the Donkeys on the island, a little bit of fishing and even getting to be captain of the boat for a bit the boys said it was the best day ever!! We have been holidaying in Roundstone for decades but this was one of the best things we have ever done. We are going to make it an annual outing!

We had an incredible time on this tour- beyond the natural beauty of the bay and islands, Damien was an incredible, kind, and knowledgeable tour guide! He was very communicative and flexible leading up to the tour as well. Could not recommend highly enough.

What a stellar day! We took a tour with Damien in early April and it seemed crazy to go on a boat tour off the coast of Ireland in early April but off we went. The trip across the bay was incredible and Damien told us all about the area. We arrived at our private island where Damien set up our ultra deluxe lunch served with wine. He found a secluded spot out of the wind and we sat and ate and enjoyed the view. After, we walked around the island, which was a trip in itself - old houses, a few still in use, and lots of sheep and rock walls and donkeys. It was a two hour tour but Damien didn't rushed us, only called us back when the tide was going to make it difficult to get back on the boat without getting wet. His co-captain, Max, provided us with cuteness and cuddles and was hands down the best co-captain ever!
