I’ve done a lot of guided hikes, and this was one of my favorites. Zack shared so many wonderful stories from life growing up in Howth and the history of Ireland on the hike. It was the perfect way to spend a late morning. The hike itself is very pretty and manageable for all levels, even when it’s a little cold & windy. Highly recommend!

Zack (and Loki) was the BEST tour guide! Zack was so knowledgeable and so helpful the entire hike. I couldn’t recommend this more — if you’re visiting Ireland, Zack’s tour is a MUST! Next time I’m in Ireland I’ll do it again!

The tour was amazing today. To all of you fair weather cancellers, you missed a great adventure! Thanks to Zack, a great storyteller and passionate historian for lots of things Ireland and all things Howth, and Loki, his trusted companion. Highly recommended!

Had the best time on the coastal hike with Zack (and Loki). I’ve done countless guided hikes, and he was genuinely one of the best guides I’ve ever met. He was very engaged with our group, made us all feel welcomed, and kept a pace that everyone could keep up with, even gave gracious time for photos. This gorgeous coastal hike was genuinely the best part of my trip, and is a must-do tour for anyone visiting Dublin. I couldn’t recommend Howth Adventures enough :)

The Howth walking tour was an absolute highlight of our trip. Zach was a fantastic guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great stories. His four-legged sidekick, Floki, made the experience even more special. The route took us through stunning coastal scenery with truly spectacular views at every turn. It was a fun-filled day packed with fresh air, laughter, and plenty of exercise, leaving us both exhilarated and grateful for the experience. As H.G. Wells said, “The past is but the beginning of a beginning,” and this day felt like the perfect start to more adventures ahead. If you are in the Dublin area, Howth is a must see and this tour is the best way to do it.

This tour was great. We had Rob as our guide, but I'm sure the other guides are pleasant as well. A knowledgeable guy about both flora, fauna and history of Dublin, surrounding areas and Ireland as a whole. Rob was mindful of everyone, friendly and just as you would want a guide to be. Made sure that everyone was enjoying and getting something out of the hike- and we all did. Made an effort to know our names and ask about us, being genuinely interested. The hike itself is beautiful, although pretty rugged with many of ups & downs through the terrain. Would recommend being a fairly good walker (not necessarily hiker) good, solid, weather depending footwear, plenty water and snacks if needed. We had time to get that before we started. This hike is the longest one they do (about 14k) and took us just over 4 hours in total, stops, small breaks and talking about various subjects throughout. We stopped and/or slowed down if needed for anyone. WELL worth it and such a beautiful walk. Go.

We visited Dublin for our very first International trip in March 2025 and booked with Howth Adventures and we were met with extraordinary hospitality, and personable care. Zack was absolutely amazing. We made a few booking and timing mistakes and were shown such grace by Zach. Not only that, but the hike was absolutely stunning with views better than the Cliffs of Moher. The Howth Peninsula Hiking Tour Overlooking Dublin Bay is highly recommended! Zach was very knowledgeable about Howth’s culture, history, and environment. His dog Loki was the star of the show! We loved everything about this hike and we will be doing it again when we visit Ireland once more. Book this now! It will be the highlight of your trip.
