We enjoyed this train ride through the city with two young children (7 & 4). We went in the mid-day August heat but as the train is shaded it was fine. The tour took us through some very narrow streets (the driver is very skilled!) and all around the town. It was fun for the kids and interesting for the adults.
It’s not bad for a quick overview of the city….lasted about 30mins for 5 euros. Volume is quite soft so can’t hear the narration most of the time and it’s better to sit at the back because of the exhaust smell.
We came off a cruise ship, the start of the train is not towards where you think town is but along the sea front, as if walking to the ship. For 4 euros each this train is an excellent way to go around town with a commentary, although I would say the commentary could be a bit better, it was dry facts. The actual train is clean and well kept with plastic windows for wind rain. I would highly recommend as overview of town is well worth it.
Very nice trip on the train. Though we couldn't hear all the information , the.teain travels through the city which is interesting for children and adults
A great little train ride around the city, around 20 minutes, they tell you information about the city in Greek then English, definitely something to do while here
