Beautiful palm forest with a river running through the gorge that allows for a small but picturesque hiking challenge. The challenge starts with the parking lot that’s scores of meters above the beach so you need to be ready to walk down and then by the end of the day walk back up! We spent very little time on the beach, and it was quite crowded. Natural flora provided many areas of shade. A small store for drinks was available.

AMAZING The car park is huge but you have to go down and then back up by foot (200 meters I think). Not accessible friendly, if you have low mobility I would recommend taking the boat there instead.

Outstanding place, a must see while in Crete. Palms surround an emerald-like water river from the mountains spilling into the sea, an ancient forest reminiscent of what Earth must've looked millions of years ago.

Beautiful spot! We went to snorkel around the corner and it was stunning! Way better than a few booked snorkel tours we had. We went there in the noon to avoid the sun, it was still super busy. A lot of people! The way down was easy, the way up was a tough one - I would recommend to leave and walk up around 6-7pm as there will be shadow and no sun anymore!

Stunning palm forest. Nice area to take shelter from the heat and wind of the beach. The rock cliffs around are gorgeous. Seems quite safe to swim and walk in as lots of people were doing so. Only walked up so far but lovely to see it looked after so well.
