Neda, a hidden gem of western Peloponnese, originates from Mount Lykaion and flows into the Ionian Sea. Named after the water nymph Neda, this enchanting river winds through lush ravines, creating breathtaking waterfalls along its course. Near its banks lie the ancient town of Phigaleia and the renowned Temple of Epicurean Apollo. The most spectacular waterfall, standing at 25 meters, is near Figalleia, cascading into a crystal-clear pool.

Our river trek begins at Figalia Bridge near Platania, where you meet your guide for a briefing. With no defined trail, we navigate the river by hopping on rocks, climbing riverbanks, and wading through the flowing waters. In some sections, swimming is essential, making the adventure both thrilling and refreshing. As we journey through dense vegetation, we encounter sudden waterfalls and dramatic rock formations.

After four hours of trekking and swimming, we reach the majestic 25-meter waterfall, where turquoise waters invite us for a swim. The more adventurous can descend by rope near the entrance of Stomion Cave. Before concluding our trek, we take a well-deserved break to savor a homemade picnic of fresh local delicacies, surrounded by the serenity of nature.

Wow! What a great experience! My kids keep talking about it since. First, the hike itself took place in a beautiful river. Untouched nature with clean waterfalls and turquoise pools. The guides, Fortis and Aphrodite were amazingly nice, professional, and funny. I would highly recommend this experience to any family / group / couples that want to do something different and get a short break from the warm weather. Another bonus is some profile pictures that are taken during the trip :)

An unforgettable experience! The canyoning at the Neda Waterfalls was absolutely amazing. Our guide was super friendly, very experienced, and made us feel safe at all times – truly trustworthy! 🌟 The tour itself was exciting and full of thrills, yet perfectly suitable for both young and old. You can really feel the passion and expertise behind it. It was so much fun, and the scenery of the waterfalls is simply breathtaking. After the adventure, we enjoyed a lovely picnic – the perfect opportunity to chat, meet new people, and reflect on the experience in a relaxed atmosphere. I can highly recommend it to everyone – an experience you’ll never forget!

Great fun canyoning!! Fotis & Trifonas were awesome guides, they explained everything throughly and kept the experience safe. The equipment was good quality & well maintained. The thick wetsuits really helped keep us warm in the cold canyon water. They even took pictures of us throughout the experience to share & remember it by. The canyon was beautiful & the river perfect for the experience with multiple jumps (if desired) and 3 Waterfalls to rapel down - a highlight of the experience. Safe for the inexperienced & great adventure & fun!

One of the greatest experiences I've had. Excellent canoeing route! Tryphons and Fotis are excellent and skilled guides. Full of patience and joy of life. A must for anyone traveling in the Peloponnese. The stream is spectacular in its beauty. Preserved and stunning nature. We were a family group aged 23-62 and it was great fun!
