For summer 2025, my husband and I wanted to take our fourteen-year-old grandson to Greece. Because of his interest in Greek mythology, we booked the seven-day Percy Jackson Greek Mythology trip. From beginning to end, it was an amazing experience! Konstantina, the operations manager for Greek Mythology Tours travel agency, was our contact person and assisted in coordinating our trip. She was so attentive and helpful as we made preparations. In addition, she was very responsive to any issues/questions that popped up during our trip. Maria was our contact person for securing accommodations, and as we prepared for our trip, she worked with us to determine the best lodging options for us (and our budget!) We were pleased with all our accommodations during the trip. At each of our destinations during the trip (i.e., Athens, Delphi, Ancient Olympia, Nafplio, Epidaurus, Heraklion, and more!), the local guides were excellent and obviously passionate about what they do. Moreover, they did a good job at gearing their talking points to kids who like Greek mythology. Besides enjoying Greek mythology, our grandson is an athlete and really liked Olympia. Also, during our free time in Nafplio, he loved climbing the 999 steps up to the Palamidi Fortress! While in Heraklion (Crete), we appreciated a morning of free time before heading out to the Knossos. Konstantina suggested Heaven Beach as well as transportation logistics to get there. It was the perfect option for us! The one hiccup during our trip was my husband’s accident near the Acropolis entrance. He tripped on the steps and needed medical attention. However, our tour guide was very quick in getting the help he needed from the medical personnel at the first-aid station. We missed the Acropolis tour that day, but Konstantina quickly secured tickets for the last day of our tour. One more comment: During the planning phase of this trip – and at our grandson’s suggestion - we asked Konstantina to try and find another family to travel with us. She matched us with a wonderful (multi-generational) family. What a treat it was to travel with them and it made the Percy Jackson Greek Mythology trip all the more enriching for us!

We did several full day tours with Greek Mythology Tours, and they arranged our transportation to and from the airport. We had an incredible time touring with GMT, but honestly, the best part of the tours was actually the people. My kids were so drawn to everyone we met who showed us around and engaged with them about where we were and the significance of mythology at the site. It's not easy to keep kids interested for a full-day, but we were, because of our great guides. There's no way we could have done these kinds of tours on our own, and I'm so glad we used a service that specializes in kids and mythology, it really made all of these stories come to life.

Perfect way to begin or end a trip in Greece! We did a tour of the Acropolis (and museum) at 4:00 in the afternoon with MariaElena. She is an amazing guide. Super engaging, kind, and full of knowledge and enthusiasm. She connected very well with both our 12 and 16 year olds and kept everyone’s interest through the 4 hour tour. We started off in the air conditioned museum and her explanations really set the stage for what we would see on the hill. I am really glad we spent this time at the museum as it ended up being crowded at the acropolis that evening and it would have been harder to absorb everything in the site itself. This was the perfect tour and way to cap off our trip in Greece. Our kids especially liked the quest they went on while exploring the museum and site. It was an age-appropriate way to keep them interested (especially our 12 year old). I HIGHLY recommend this company. They have excellent communication and guides. Don’t hesitate - if you’re interested in Greek mythology and history, this is the tour for you.

We absolutely recommend Greek Mythology Tours. The guides were knowledgeable, clearly cared about what they do, and presented information in an engaging way for all of us, including our teenagers. Even though our teens are moving past their Percy Jackson phase, we all found the integration of mythology with historical site information interesting - it was just the right balance. The website and app are very user-friendly, and the personalized online itinerary made planning so much easier and organized. A special thanks to Konstantina, who was truly exceptional. She was friendly, insightful, and always quick to respond with helpful suggestions and detailed information. Her dedication made our trip planning so much less complicated that it would have been without her! Our Acropolis tour was timed well. The guide really knew her stuff, getting us through the site easily, avoiding crowds. We felt we had just the right amount of time to explore both the Acropolis and the museum, and she gave us information that we wouldn't have been able to find on our own. She also handled another family's enthusiastic child with so much patience, keeping the tour focused and fun for all of us. The trip to Epidaurus was a highlight. Our guide there was exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging, providing us with so much new information as we knew the least about that site. While this part of the tour had less to do with Percy Jackson, it may have been the most interesting part of our trip. The guide at Delphi was so enthusiastic and informative and truly excited about what he does and what he wanted to tell us and show us that it made the longer ride worth it. The restaurant we visited afterward in the village nearby (they had booked us a reservation) was also definitely a place we would want to go to again. Our day in Nafplio was fantastic. We did have another family on the tour who needed to leave early to catch a flight, so I'd suggest avoiding long drives on travel days if possible. That said, Konstantina and the drivers adjusted the schedule smoothly, and our experience wasn't impacted—we got to enjoy our lunch without feeling rushed, which we really appreciated. Our guide was clearly passionate about the city. He shared details and stories that we wouldn't have discovered on our own. After the tour, he even walked us to his favorite local lunch spot and gave us tips on how to order the fish properly. Overall a great day to finish our trip. We would absolutely book with Greek Mythology Tours (and Konstantina especially) again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Percy Jackson Adventure in Athens! If you have a Percy Jackson fan in your family, this tour is an absolute MUST! Our daughter (age12) is huge fan of the books, and this experience brought Greek mythology to life in the most exciting way. From the moment we met our incredible guide, who was both knowledgeable and engaging, we knew we were in for a treat. The scavenger hunt was brilliantly designed to keep kids (and adults!) entertained while exploring the incredible ruins of Athens. Our guide wove in mythology, history, and Percy Jackson references seamlessly, making it feel like we were stepping straight into the world of Camp Half-Blood. The challenges, riddles, and quests kept our daughter completely immersed, and she hasn't stopped talking about it since! What really stood out was how the tour balanced education and fun—our daughter learned so much about Greek history and mythology without even realizing it. The tour was well-paced, interactive, and perfectly tailored for kids, tweens, and teens. If you're visiting Athens with young mythology lovers, don’t hesitate—this is hands-down the best way to explore the ancient sites while keeping the whole family engaged. 10/10 experience! We would do it again in a heartbeat!
