Our journey begins in Athens with an exciting full-day tour to explore some of Greece's most stunning sights and landmarks. As we travel, I will share insights into Greece's rich history, mythology, and culture. We will begin with a visit to Delphi, considered the "navel of the world," where we will explore its ancient ruins and the important role it played in Greek civilization. From there, we continue to Meteora, known for its awe-inspiring rock formations and centuries-old monasteries. On our way, we’ll also pass Thermopylae, the site of the famous battle where the 300 Spartans made their stand, and the picturesque town of Arachova, known for its charming stone houses and scenic views. We will spend the night in Delphi, with free time to explore or relax.
On the second day, we will explore the western side of Greece, beginning with visits to Ancient Plevrona and Oiniades, two of the region's most historically significant sites. We will continue our journey with a stop at the Monastery of Ligovitsi, a revered religious site offering insight into Greece’s spiritual history. Our final destination will be the picturesque town of Messolonghi, known for its castle and its deep historical roots. After taking in the sights and history of Messolonghi, we will make our way back to Athens, concluding this immersive two-day tour filled with rich cultural and historical discoveries.
