Beautiful Lodge and estate with incredible food! We stayed one thursday night on our journey from Wales to Scotland. We were able to take advantage of their midweek offer which is absolutely incredible value. The room was clean, spacious, with a large bed and lovely set up for our dog. Dog bed, dog towel, and a little welcome pack of treats and a ball were all lovely touches. You are not allowed in the main restaurant with dogs, but the lounge was very comfortable and our dog was made very welcome by the staff! The cocktail menu was interesting and extensive, as well as a large selection of wines and beers (including their own brew made right off the lounge!) The food was absolutely incredible, some of the most notable food we've had in quite some time. Dinner we had the venison sausage 'snack', then for mains the confit smoked sea trout and a daily special of rack of lamb. Both mains were absolutely incredible and paired well with a generous side of root vegetables. The mains were so tasty we had to share a dessert - the toffee apple baked alaska with popcorn ice cream. Absolutely phenomenal and lovely presentation at the table. Breakfast was another home run - brisket benedict and their seasonal french toast. This in addition to the buffet which featured fantastic fresh apple juice, amazing pastries/cakes and other breakfast items. My only complaint is not having enough room in my stomach to try more! We took a leisurely walk around around the estate after breakfast and there's certainly plenty to explore with varying difficulty paths. The venue also has wellies which you can borrow if you don't have your own! Overall an incredible overnight stay, which I can't recommend enough - particularly if you've got a pup in tow!

Came for a family meal celebration and wow it really was as fabulous as we had heard it was. Food was beautiful and generous portions, with so many flavours. The staff serving on the tables were very pleasant. It was nice to be in a restaurant where we didn't feel rushed and where the food flowed at a good pace. Price wise, well it's dearer than your average place, but it's worth every penny.

Just spent a night here and for what it cost the room, service and food was excellent. The process for dinner reservations needs to be looked at, we were asked what time we want dinner but the reservation wasn't made, it was quickly resolved for us. The meal and breakfast was excellent. The room was clean, quite and as you'd expect The Wild Boar wood was great for my little girl, she loved exploring. Great stay, would happily recommend. Staff were great.

Excellent week’s stay at Wild Boar Estate. Our first visit but won’t be our last. The weather wasn’t great but the cozy log fires in the bar area were very welcoming. Room was great and well appointed. Food was delicious. Staff were very kind and friendly. All in all this place is highly recommended.

Took my daughter her for their alternative afternoon tea as she saw it online and wanted to go. Did not disappoint! The welcome was warm and personal, the staff were extremely friendly, personable and added greatly to the experience. The food was even better than expected, a very welcome twist to the generic bog standard of afternoon teas. Really has to be experienced to understand the difference. Enjoyed it so much I will be returning even if it's not for a special occasion! They also will be doing a Christmas themed afternoon tea at the appropriate time too. Sounds intriguing!
