The Giza pyramids are impressive and worth seeing, but in my opinion, it’s not worth going inside: the entrance fee is too high for the area. The site can be chaotic, with pushy local boys and tired animals, while local girls often ask for photos. It’s better to admire the pyramids from the outside and enjoy the view without spending too much.
The Great Sphinx of Giza is absolutely incredible. Must see. Pro Tip: There is a second gate near the Sphinx. We went through the Sphinx entrance on our second visit to skip the crowds and get some amazing crowd free pictures as the sun was rising.

Amazing day tour!! Our guide called Samaa (Sky in English) was such a great tour guide. Super knowledgeable friendly and a great photographer. We saw everything there was to see and learnt a lot along the way. The driver was very professional too. Drove safely in a nice air con car. Highly recommend!
I had read other comments mentioning the tour guide Dima and was very happy when we got her as well. Extremely professional tour adapted to our interests and requirements. The driver was also very professional. We added a photographer, not something I’ve ever considered before, and found that to be a very rewarding experience. Although it’s a bit too touristy for my typical tastes, if there’s one time you want the best photographs, this is it.
Ahmed and our driver did a great job getting us to all the destinations on this tour. It was incredible to see the pyramids close up and to go inside a couple of the smaller ones. The tour offered a great opportunity to visit Saqqara , Memphis, the Great Pyramid and pyramids of Giza, as well as the sphinx. Lunch was also lovely with a nice meal at a good restaurant. It would have been great to get a little closer to the sphinx but aside from that the tour was excellent. I can highly recommend the company for their organisation and communication. Ahmed was an amazing guide with huge knowledge and an obvious passion for Egypt and its incredible history. An awesome day!
I had such a great experience on my first day in Egypt! Our guide, Tony, was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and full of interesting information about everything we saw. He made the tour fun and easy to follow, and it really helped me appreciate the history and culture right from the start of my trip. The site is well organized, and there are several viewing platforms that allow for fantastic photos from different angles. Early morning or late afternoon visits offer the best light and fewer crowds. Local guides nearby can share interesting historical insights and help you understand the many mysteries and legends surrounding the monument. Be prepared for some vendors, but a polite “no, thank you” works fine. The Sphinx embodies the spirit and mystery of ancient Egypt — silent, majestic, and timeless. Standing there, you can’t help but feel humbled by its presence. It’s truly one of the world’s greatest landmarks and a must-see for anyone visiting Cairo or Giza.
