We had the best adventure with Marc and the guides who took us thru the Dominican Republic jungle high flying adventure :)
Darwin was our guide and he was awesome! We were on a Carnival cruise in Dec ‘25 and did the zipline and waterfall combo w/lunch. It was my husband and two boys, 13 and 16. My 13-year-old said it was the best day of his life. So glad we did this. The only thing I would change is instead of wearing water shoes, I would’ve just brought a pair of junkie tennis shoes. There are lots of places where you’re stepping over small rocks and the water shoes did not provide a lot of support. I would also encourage anyone to do a little bit of strength training before hand as the stairs going up could be difficult for some. All of us are pretty active and we all had sore legs the next day. they also had a photographer which we ended up buying the photos from.
Our family of five, my husband and are are right at 60, our boys are 18, and 15, and our girl is 10 years old. All of us said this was the highlight of our cruise. We did the waterfall slides, horseback riding, and lunch excursion. There is nothing I would change about any of it. Edwardo and Carlos were our excursion guides. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time. Gabriel was our photographer and did an amazing job so we have a lot of pictures for years to come. Tony and Fredrick were the best guides through the forest and water slides. They made sure everyone was comfortable and safe. The gentlemen at the stables and guides during the horseback riding did an excellent job. My younger two had never ridden hoses before and both said that was their favorite part. My older child loves experiencing authentic food from places we visit and was not disappointed at all with the lunch. I highly recommend this excursion and hope you have as much fun as we did.
We really enjoyed our Mega Truck Ride through the countryside with Alex and Santiago. We would recommend anyone wanting to see what life is like for people in the DR.
