This place was just amazing. The way to Monkey jungle is rather bad for regular car, but definitely worth visiting. We had a great guide and had monkeys just for ourselves :). Here it was obvious that they take a nice care of them and staff is having a nice relation to the animals. I really enjoyed my time there and I think we chose the best place :)
We did the monkey visit with our four and six year old (pictured). SO much fun! The squirrel monkeys climbed all over them. It was a blast and a great photo op. Memories will last a lifetime… FYI: the last 3 miles of the road to Monkey Jungle are unpaved so be ready for a bumpy ride.
Great fun for the family! We went here on a rainy day and it was STILL awesome even though we were drenched. The interactions with the monkeys are absolutely great as they will climb all over you, leap from one person to another, and even give you a head massage if you are sporting a buzz cut. The guides speak English very well as well as Spanish. Not much mentioned, but they also have some beautiful peacocks strutting around and they will give kids old popcorn to feed them with. There are some snacks and refreshments (including beer) available for purchase at very reasonable prices if you're thirsty/hungry. Everything you're spending here is going to a great cause, so keep that in mind and don't be stingy with your pesos.
A neat little sanctuary where you can interact with the squirrel monkeys in a cage. Staff were nice and knowledgeable. The monkeys were imported, they are not native to this area. I was expecting the monkeys to be free-range instead of in a cage, but the experience was still amazing, watching the adorable monkeys scurrying around, and having them crawl on you and eat out of your hand.
This is a must. This group is so kind & genuine. The experience is once in a lifetime & the money you pay goes right back to serving the community in so many ways. Seeing the clinic at their location is evidence of the good they are doing. What a great idea & sustainable way to create a free health clinic for those in need. The zip lining is a blast with incredible guides & the monkeys are so fun. Just do it all- you won’t regret it.
