Ron

The ruins of the capitol of the First Bulgarian kingdom are not very impressive. The wall and the basilica are reconstructed. The site museum is small but interesting and informative.
Marcin

Beautiful site, with the remains of the first capital of the First Bulgarian Empire. Do remember to drive to see the Great Basilica of Pliska!
Gosho

First Bulgarian capital. Well preserved.A lot's of walking. Not recommended for people with difficulties.
Ton

Not to be missed excavation and museum of the first capital of the Bulgarian Empire. The museum, which is not too large, is well organized and gives a good idea of what Pliska once looked like. And the staff is very friendly. The remains of Pliska are nice to stroll through and the signs with explanations (also in English) are clear. Very nice place that everyone with a little interest in the history of Bulgaria should visit. And after this visit, don't forget to visit the great basilica, which is a little further away.

The place is very beautiful, it is worth your time to visit it. The Great Basilica was completed in 875 and is one of the largest basilicas in medieval Southeastern Europe. The Great Basilica of Pliska was the largest Christian temple in Europe until the 17th century, until the completion of the Papal Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican in 1629.
