Easily accessible a very close to the city, the fortress offers a splendid view over the Pernik valley. The place is of historical significance, more information available on site. It’s an easy and quick sightseeing that could be pleasant in spring too.

Part of bulgarian history, this is a must see place for most of those who live in the Sofia area. Unfortunately, the same people don't know that place exists. Apart from that, this is a beautiful area with a nice view above Pernik city. Recommend visiting it and enjoying your walk around the area.

Easily accessible fortress, free entry, has benches to rest and is about 20 minutes from the railway station. However we were kind of worried as some house dogs were barking at us on the way and had to cross the road a few times. Better to get here by car, a lot of strays in the city too. There is an artificial new tower made for views and a wall to take a look at the city. The place itself has been used by humans for more than 2500 years for sure.
