it was a long day but Adrian made the drive go by very fast. On the way he presented me with so much history about the tombs we were going to visit and much more there is to Bulgaria. I was very happy when I heard that some of the artifacts that were found in the one of the tombs was back in Bulgaria on display. It makes you realise how much more is missing due to the looting of the tombs. If you love history, this would be ideal. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great tour with Ivan! We saw several tombs and I learned so much about the area, the history and the culture. Ivan was social and happy to share all his extensive knowledge and a few good jokes. I would recommend this tour to people that want to get a deep understanding of history and not for people who want an instagram selfie experience. I ended up being the only customer of the tour that day- 10 hours together and Ivan was very comfortable to be around and very conversant in English 10/10 would book a tour with him again.
