What a breathtaking view! The hike was 1:30 from hut September and was not too difficult! Really rewarding! I can’t believe I have not done that earlier. It’s totally worth it and I can’t wait to do it again!

The trail from Golden Bridges to Kamen Del Peak is a moderate hike, taking around 2:30 to 3 hours round trip depending on how often you stop. The path runs through calm, beautiful woods, with a few soggy sections that are easy to handle. It’s a pleasant hike with a nice balance of effort and reward. Bring some protein snacks and enough water to keep your energy up along the way. Be prepared for colder weather at the top – having an extra layer of clothing is a good idea. And don’t forget to check the forecast before you go. Overall, it’s a short, enjoyable, and refreshing trail with great nature and views at the peak.

The trail from Aleko Hut to Kamen Del is a short yet rewarding hike on Vitosha Mountain. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours each way, depending on pace, and is suitable for most hikers with moderate fitness. The path is well-marked, offering a pleasant escape from the summer sun. Take into consideration that most of the trail is not shaded. The final ascent opens up to a rocky plateau, leading to Kamen Del, where you'll be greeted by one of the most spectacular panoramic views over Sofia. On a clear day, the entire city stretches below you, framed by distant mountains. A perfect half-day trip for nature lovers visiting Sofia. The Bulgarian flag 🇧🇬 on top should be replaced often because of the strong winds. Take one in your backpack:))

This is the best possible place for a view over the city of Sofia. Depending on the choice you make, you can reach it the easy way by starting from Aleko hut or the difficult way by starting from the Boyana church, for example. It all depends on your mood, strength, energy and skills in climbing the mountain. I recommend visiting Kamen del. Just keep in mind that there is a strong wind blowing and it is advisable to have the right equipment so that you do not feel uncomfortable while you are there.

Ideal hike if you only have 3 - 4 hours. Not difficult. Trail is well marked. Great view of Sofia from above. It's free!
