If you're looking to charter a boat for a larger group, this is an excellent option! My husband and I eloped in Madeira and wanted to do a sunset sail with our friends and family. This was one of only three options I could find for a group of 19. We absolutely loved our experience on the Atlantic Pearl and I wish I could remember our captain's name because he was so knowledge, friendly, and flexible. We swam before the sun set and then saw dolphins! The crew followed the dolphins at a safe distance for about 30 minutes and it was the perfect ending to our elopement.

Nothing luxourious about this tour and worse: no on board security. A miracle that nobody was tossed overboard. No regards for safety. They should have cancelled the tour before it began. But...money talks and 30 passengers on a small catemaran is a good pile of money to make.

Leaving 2 stars. We did see both dolphins and whales, which was great, and the crew was friendly. However, when we arrived, many people came to buy tickets on the spot — instead of the promised small group of around 20, there were nearly 40 of us. Not everyone even had a seat on the catamaran. The staff counted people, discussed among themselves, and then said the engine had broken, so we had to switch to an older boat. Maybe that was true, but after reading reviews on other platforms, I see this happens often — they sell too many spots and then claim “boat issues.” Be aware that if they overbook, you might end up on an old boat instead of the luxury catamaran you paid for. The rest of the trip was fine, but definitely not as advertised.

For a “luxury cruise”, the outside seating arrangements insisted of cushions on the deck which were not particularly comfortable and not everyone could be outside. Didn’t see any wildlife but that’s a risk you take. Not a memorable experience but a pleasant cruise

Very nice was enjoying it so much and see the whale and dolphins. Many hours on the sea there is no beach: for sunbeds only at the swimming pools at 🏨.
