Academically, I am trained as a biologist, but in life, I wear many hats—as a wine producer, writer, food expert, and cultural traditionalist. With over five years of hands-on experience in wine production, I have developed a deep understanding and passion for the craft. My knowledge extends beyond just making wine; it encompasses the rich traditions and cultural heritage that surround it. Currently, I am channeling my expertise and love for my home into writing a comprehensive guidebook about the city, inspired by my popular blog, which I look forward to sharing with you soon.
My greatest joy lies in Portugal and its remarkable wines. Having been born here and lived in this beautiful country for 15 years, I quickly fell in love with its gastronomy, culture, and oenological wonders. Through my work and experiences, I aim to show you Portugal as I see it—full of flavor, history, and charm. I am confident that once you immerse yourself in its wine culture and culinary delights, you will fall for Portugal’s oenological beauty just as deeply as I have.

We joined a wonderful wine tour with Caro. Fascinating & so informative. Inspiring to see how a dream has become a reality & the amazing journey to create a vineyard in harmony with nature. A delicious lunch followed wine tasting. A must visit if you are in the region. Merci Caro :)

We had a lovely peaceful week staying in the wine lodge. There was everything we needed in the lodge. The pool was lovely and although it is shared with the other accommodation we had it to ourselves during our stay. Being able to stroll to the village is a bonus as there is a very good restaurant there as well as various events held in the summer.

We felt like we had entered and were living in a Parallel Universe of Saussignac for a few days... A Universe in which friendliness, kindness, scents and colours were all cranked up a few notches and time's fierce urgency diluted by sublime moments of mindfulness! A Grand Merci Caro!

We couldn't have chosen a better location or choice of accommodation for our recent "house hunting" trip. The lodge was perfect for Julie's 94 year old, wheelchair bound mother, and us too! Sadly we didn't really have time to take advantage of the wine tour, but we intend to rectify this on our next visit! Thanks Caro for looking after us and for the leaving present! My husband and I stayed a week in the Wine Lodge at Chateau Feely and had a wonderful stay. The setting is perfect. Views from the bedroom and living room are of vineyards and classic French countryside. Sunrise is spectacular and when the mists roll in, it becomes magical. The lodge itself is very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. We cooked in several times. The location is great for exploring the Dordogne and Bordeaux. And best of all are Caro and Sean, the hosts. They are fabulous…so willing to share their knowledge and love of wine, food and the planet. We look forward to another visit!
