Great early afternoon excursion. Was met by one of the crew at the pier gate. Both Douro Captain crew members were very hospitable and helpful. Relaxing 2-hour trip from the Douro Mariana, motoring up the Douro River to the Luis I bridge, then back down to the mouth of the river, and finally back to the marina under sail, with personal narration along the way. A glass of wine to start, followed by small tastings of three port wines plus one surprise. Additional drinks (wine, beer, soda) were available for an additional fee.

small group. there were 5 of us so we had our own boat. crew was very accommodating and cordial. tastings were delicious. and of course, seeing the town of Porto from the water was special.
