This tour offers a rich and immersive journey through the cultural and historical heart of the Balkans, taking you across two fascinating countries in just two days. In North Macedonia, you will explore the timeless beauty of Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled on the shores of a crystal-clear lake. Its ancient churches, fortress ruins, and charming old town streets blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, creating a magical setting that has captivated visitors for centuries. In contrast, Skopje, the vibrant capital, reveals a modern edge alongside layers of history—from the legacy of Alexander the Great to Ottoman-era architecture and bold contemporary monuments. Every moment is thoughtfully planned, giving you the freedom to absorb the atmosphere while ensuring you never miss a landmark.

Crossing into Kosovo, your experience continues with visits to the lively capital of Prishtina and the charming, historically rich town of Prizren. These cities, full of character and contrast, offer insight into a region shaped by resilience, diversity, and cultural pride. Prishtina reflects Kosovo’s youthful energy and political evolution, while Prizren’s cobbled streets and Ottoman-era mosques transport you into a more traditional and picturesque world. With the guidance of experienced local professionals, this tour ensures seamless travel, well-paced stops, and meaningful moments, all while maintaining a flexible balance of structured sightseeing and personal exploration. It’s an ideal way to experience the best of both countries without rushing or missing the depth that makes them so memorable.

A totally mind-blowing trip to a fascinating part of the world. The Balkans never fail to amaze me : culture, history, ethnicity, identity, pride and religion are all intricately interwoven in a multi-layered social fabric that just bewilders me and usually makes me feel totally uneducated and so culturally unaware :-( but Zlatko helped big time By far the best private tour we have ever taken. A trip through the mountains and through history. Zlatko was an Incredible human, fascinating guide and an amazing allrounder- incredibly knowledgeable about history, geography, geology, not to mention music. He was totally impartial, unbelievably engaging and very caring. We booked this trip online and the whole experience was top class. Once we got to Skopje we booked a trip to matka at the office in the old bazaar and Philip was the walking example of professionalism! Everything about this company deserves a special call out and it definitely made for an incredibly memorable trip

A fabulous afternoon touring the aforementioned areas. Great views of the city and a lovely village with a beautiful church. My favourite was the boat tour along Lake Matka to visit the cave. Many thanks to Gezim and his depth of knowledge around each area. Nothing rushed, relevant information shared then travellers given ample time to explore. Gezim articulation of the English language made understanding relevant facts so much easier.

I did two incredible day tours with Skopje Daily Tours, and both experiences exceeded my expectations. 🛶 Matka Canyon Day Tour A must-do if you’re in Skopje. The canyon is simply stunning — dramatic cliffs, emerald waters, and peaceful nature all around. The tour included a scenic boat ride to the cave, time to walk, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. It was the perfect balance between organized activities and freedom to explore at my own pace. The guide shared interesting stories and tips without ever rushing the experience. 🇽🇰 Kosovo Day Tour This was one of the highlights of my entire Balkan trip. Visiting Pristina and Prizren gave me a deeper perspective on the region's recent history and cultural richness. The tour felt like a true immersion, not just sightseeing. The guide was knowledgeable, open to questions, and created a space for real connection with the place. Both tours were: ✅ Super well-organized ✅ Comfortable and in small groups ✅ Led by passionate local guides ✅ Affordable and totally worth the time They also offer a day trip to Ohrid, which I highly recommend based on everything I’ve heard — and it's next on my list! If you're in Skopje and want to explore beyond the city in a smart, easy, and enriching way, Skopje Daily Tours is the perfect choice.

We did two day tours from Skopje and both were absolutely fantastic — each offering a unique and unforgettable experience. 🇽🇰 Day Tour to Kosovo (Pristina & Prizren) This was a real highlight of our trip! Our guide Zlatko was outstanding — extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about the region’s history and culture. He made the entire experience feel relaxed yet informative, providing fascinating background on the political and cultural history of Kosovo. Zlatko was also very accommodating and made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and included. Pristina and Prizren were both beautiful, full of character, and far more than we expected — definitely worth visiting. 🌄 Matka Canyon, Millennium Cross & Etno Village Tour The second tour was more nature-focused and equally wonderful. Our guide Elena was warm, friendly, and incredibly informative. She shared so many interesting details about the history, religion, and traditions of North Macedonia, and her passion for her country really shone through. The Matka Canyon was breathtaking, and the boat ride through the gorge was a peaceful escape into nature. The Millennium Cross offered amazing views, and the stop at the Etno Village gave us a great taste of Macedonian rural culture. Both tours were well-paced, comfortable, and very well organized. If you’re in Skopje and want to experience both the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Balkans, these tours are a must. And if you’re lucky enough to have Zlatko and Elena as your guides, you’re in excellent hands! Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of spending the day with Zarko on a day tour of Kosovo from Skopje. The tour was incredibly interesting and I enjoyed it a lot. The amount of interesting information was great and I really couldn’t recommend the tour enough specially if your guide is Zarko
