First time in Albania so decided to take a short tour to see some highlights south of Tirana. Zeni our guide was punctual and extremely knowledgeable and interested in presenting his country and its history. The driving on the roads is a bit scary to we northern Europeans, so we were grateful for Zeni to manage the squeaks, squeezes, bends, and tricky parking bits for us. We saw much much more than we would manage by public transport so the trip was well worth it. Likewise, Zeni knew the nicer spots and the highlights that would have taken us a while to stumble across on our own. We tailored the trip a bit to fit in the sights and also do a couple of things we needed. Zeni was flexible and helpful. Albania itself is an amazingly beautiful, safe and relaxed country and we learnt much more about the psyche of the place and it's people. Zeni suggested good value local places for us to eat and make merry and there was little of the hard sell you might expect on such tours. Can totally recommend this one.
