The PADI Wreck Diver Specialty Course is tailored for certified divers who want to safely and confidently explore sunken ships, airplanes, and artificial reefs. These underwater structures often hold historical significance and serve as thriving marine habitats. Through a blend of theory and hands-on practice, this course teaches proper wreck diving techniques, safety procedures, navigation strategies, and how to assess potential hazards. You'll also learn how to use dive lines, reels, and torches while mapping and exploring wrecks responsibly.
Conducted over two days and four dives, the course provides practical experience at real wreck sites under the guidance of a certified PADI instructor. If conditions don’t allow for two wreck dives per day, the course can be extended to three days or adapted to include shore-based wreck dives. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with the skills and confidence to explore wrecks safely while preserving their ecological and historical integrity. Discuss your schedule and preferences with your instructor to find the most suitable training plan.
