Good day out, worth the money. Buggy’s driving, quad bikes, short camel ride and 25km drive each way in 4x4 over the desert by professional driver, bit bumpy at times, uneven terrain as expected! Great fun. Does get warm and can be dusty

Many people travel to Egypt for the sea and indeed, the Red Sea offers stunningly clear waters and a fascinating underwater world. But if you get tired of spending all day on the beach, with only occasional breaks for the all‑you‑can‑eat meals, I'd recommend a trip to Sahara Safari. These tours come under various names - you might find jeep safaris, quad biking, visits to Bedouin villages, and perhaps other activities too. Whatever the label, this is where you are going to find relatively active experiences. The scale of the operation looks convincing, and plenty of tourists come here. We opted for a quad bike and buggy ride, plus a visit to a Bedouin village. First, you will need to buy a keffiyeh scarf (if you haven’t already). If you buy a tour, you will be warned you in advance, so you can prepare. On site they will show you how to wear it properly. And it's not just for show, it is a real defense against the sand (of which there will be plenty, all flying straight into your face). The quad bikes are well‑used but still run and handle well - what more do you need? -) Driving a buggy is also interesting: it takes off immediately, handles very firmly, and you need a little time to get used to it after driving regular cars. But since you are in the desert, crashing is unlikely. Plus, a staff member is always there to assist you. Yes, children work here too, but they handle the vehicles with impressive confidence. Next, we headed to a Bedouin village. We were told these are real people living there. There are Bedouins who live in the mountains and, to put it mildly, aren’t particularly fond of visitors. This village earns from tourism. The experience is mixed… On one hand, it is an extremely modest life, and every penny earned from tips, selling bracelets, or gathering herbs clearly makes a big difference to the community. On the other, the landscape is utterly breathtaking, especially in the late afternoon, as the sun begins to set. If you can, climb a hill - from there you will get a stunning view of… I'm not sure what to call it. Perhaps eternity (pardon the grandeur). And the camel ride is fascinating too: at some point, you figure out how to sit, swaying to the rhythm, and you think - perhaps travelers across the Middle East moved just like this, a hundred, two hundred, or a thousand years ago… A remarkable place, with plenty of options for active fun. The memories will certainly stay with you for life, and photos of the village will occasionally remind you that life for most of us - reader of Google Maps - is pretty good, really.

Incredible experience going on tha quadbike and buggyride in the desert that ended with a wonderful dinner buffe outside. It all felt so authentic. Can recommend to book the photographer on site, we got some really good photoshoots!

Great value for your money, really enjoyed the trip with my family, our guide Mohammad salah was great with our children, very entertaining & friendly. Food was lovely and the show at the end was great. Quad and buggy were also very fun! Recommend to anyone visiting here! 😁

If I could give this experience 6 stars I would. We expected one buggy drive as we opted out of the quads because of our 3 year old, instead they arranged for us to do 2 buggy drives. Then when they realised we loved it they said we could do a 3rd drive before dinner. After the 3rd they asked if we wanted to go again..hell yeah! The kids play area was so helpful in between drives. The guide Miso was awesome, has a great sense of UK humour, made us feel like we were getting bespoke treatment..he is an asset. Then an entertaining show and delicious dinner. I don't know how you could improve it. Overall the best excursion on our whole Egypt holiday and well worth the money.

So glad I booked this trip, the quads and buggy were incredible, Hassan was fantastic, very knowledgeable and so kind. He made what was already a great day even better! Thanks again Hassan & Team!

The thing that disappointed me the most in Egypt. It all boils down to extracting as much money as possible from tourists. the safari itself is in an unattractive part of the desert, with very poor and dilapidated vehicles. What particularly disappointed me was the greed of photographers who want 35 euros for shots and photos, even though the tour itself rarely costs more than 20 euros. The most positive moment is riding a camel.

Had an amazing afternoon and dinner there. We were picked up from our hotel. The dinner was included. There was a little camel ride followed by quad-biking and then the ATVs followed by a show and dinner. Overall, it was really fun and entertaining. Please note they also charge 5 euros or USD extra for each person as an entry fee to the desert, and I was told it's a government regulation, so keep that in mind.
