Dinghy Race Night in Bellingham
Dinghy Race Night offers experienced dinghy sailors an exciting opportunity to develop their racing skills while sailing alongside the local community. The three hour session is designed for sailors who already have intermediate dinghy experience and want more time on the race course.
The evening begins with arrival at 5 00pm, with boats ready for rigging by 5 30pm. A skippers meeting takes place at 5 30pm before racing begins at 6 00pm. Participants can enjoy a relaxed and friendly racing atmosphere with casual coaching throughout the session.
Racing continues until 7 15pm, followed by a return to the dock at 7 30pm. All boats are then derigged. The activity focuses on helping developing racers understand racing techniques, improve confidence and learn the finer details of competitive sailing.
Participation requires completion of an Intermediate Dinghy Sailing course or equivalent experience. Spinnaker use is limited to sailors approved through the relevant workshop or skills test. Flexible cancellation terms apply, with refunds depending on how far ahead the cancellation is made.
