If it’s your first time in the Sahara, this camp will certainly make you feel you’ve stepped into a postcard - neatly set along the edge of the dunes, with that “I can’t believe I’m actually here” glow. I arrived by jeep, having politely declined the classic camel ride, which I was assured was the highlight of the experience. (I’ll take their word for it.) The tent itself is decidedly spartan: twin beds with the universally firm Moroccan mattresses, no storage to speak of, and a bathroom setup divided by canvas flaps - toilet and sink on one side, shower on the other. There’s an outdoor seating area, a communal space with a fireplace, and a dining tent where everyone compares levels of sand infiltration. I guess it can be described as “luxury’ compared to an average tent, but that’s about it. Sunrise on the dunes is spectacular and, thanks to the mattress, you’ll likely be awake in time to see it without any heroic effort. Staff are excellent, warm and attentive. The food is… acceptable, let’s say serviceable rather than memorable.

A stay like no other- Desert Luxury camp exceeded my expectations. You take an adventurous 10 minute 4x4 ride to get to a secluded spot in the middle of the Sahara. Surrounded by dunes, but not without modern luxuries (the full bathrooms in each tent were far more luxurious than I was expecting!). With almost 0 light pollution, it's an incredible place to stargaze. The food was excellent, staff superb, and the location is rugged and beautiful. Stay at least 2 nights, you won't want to leave.

Beautiful place. Dinner was dedicious and breakfast was nice too. I like the camel riding and the sunset was wonderful. It is an unforgettable experience!
